Comfort on a Plate

 023

Everyone has a favorite tuna casserole.  It’s a quick and easy dinner, but it’s also comfort food.  A tuna casserole reminds you of Mom and dinners long ago.  At least that is what it means to me.  This one is a little different from Mom’s, but it’s just as tasty.

Easy Tuna Casserole

1 can albacore tuna, drained (any size is fine)

1 package Velveeta Shells and Cheese

1 small can sliced mushrooms, drained

2 cups cooked broccoli flowerets

1 can cream of celery soup

1/2 cup water

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.  Cook pasta according to package directions.  Drain.  Combine cheese, soup and water until well blended.  Add shells and tuna.  Stir in broccoli.  Pour into medium casserole dish.  Top with shredded cheese.  Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
