Pork Loin & Gravy

Simple Cookery Pork Loin and Gravey

This is a simple dish that will have everyone thinking you’ve slaved for hours.  I usually cook pork loin in the oven, but decided to try my Crockpot this time.  The whole house smelled wonderful and I didn’t have to heat up the kitchen.

Crockpot Pork Loin & Gravy

2-3 pound pork loin

1 cup water

salt, pepper, garlic powder to taste

1 tablespoon Mrs. Dash original seasoning

1 tablespoon canola oil

1 tablespoon Worcestershire  sauce

1 tablespoon flour (added at end of cooking)

Heat oil over medium-high heat in large sauce pan.  Sprinkle loin with salt, pepper and garlic powder.  Sear in pan on all sides, turning quickly until browned.  Place in Crockpot.  Add water and Worcestershire sauce to pan drippings.  Stir well and pour over loin.  Sprinkle with Mrs.. Dash.  Cook on high for 2 hours.  Reduce heat to low for an additional 4-6 hours or until ready to serve.  Just before serving, mix 1 tablespoon flour with some of the liquid in the Crockpot.  Stir well and pour back into the pot.  Stir until gravy is slightly thickened.
